As the world begins to re-emerge, we hope that you will make a return to Newport this summer part of your journey. The staff at The Marina at Brown & Howard Wharf has worked with passion and attention to every detail and we are ready to welcome you back to your home on the water in total safety with new updates that we hope will delight you!

Updates
We are beyond excited that as part of the Governor’s Phase 2 of Reopening Rhode Island, transient boats are now permitted and quarantine requirements have been relaxed (effective June 5). We are continuing to monitor guidelines issued by the RI Department of Environmental Management and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
In addition to the upgrades we’ve made at our marina in response to COVID-19 – from e-registration, to contact-free payment – we are working to make your boating experience as easy as possible. We’ve implemented new cleaning protocols daily, which provide 24-hour sanitation of all of our security gate keypads, and added healthcare information in our newly updated welcome packets, which you will receive a few days prior to your arrival.

Introducing Dockside Delivery from Pat’s Pastured and Farmer’s Unite

Guests at The Marina at Brown & Howard Wharf are invited to order directly from Farmers Unite – a group of farmers and fishermen who have come together to streamline local delivery! Your toughest choice will be deciding whether you want lamb chops, scallops or filet mignon for dinner.
How Does Dockside Delivery Work?
Create an account on the Pat’s Pastured website. When prompted to provide your zip code, enter 02840. You will then provide your name and email address. Select “home delivery.” Now you’re ready to browse the online store, which features a fantastic local variety of meat, seafood and produce, and place your order. You’ll receive an estimated order total based on approximate weights.
When Should I Place My Order?
The ordering window opens at 12 a.m. on Wednesdays and runs through 12 p.m. on Fridays. Deliveries to Newport will take place the following Thursday (you will be notified directly via email). Order ahead and plan your menu accordingly!

Delivery Notes
Before finalizing your order, enter the following delivery instructions in the “Notes” section:
The delivery address is 33 Brown And Howard Wharf. The driver should park in the lot as close as possible to the dock, near the “Freedom” building. Contact [your phone number here] upon delivery.
The marina is surrounded by a secure perimeter gate which requires an access code. Drivers should meet the customer at this point of entry. In case the customer is not on-site, a secondary point of contact can be Charlie Moore, Marina Manager, at (401) 477-9723.
Charter a Ride on “Berkeley Square”
Imagine: The year is 1958. A young Prince Rainier dashes across the Monte Carlo harbor in his brand-new Riva Tritone, known as “the boat of kings” — with the Princess of Monaco and Hollywood movie star Grace Kelly by his side. Her iconic Hermès scarf is blowing in the wind.
Now fast-forward to the present-day. After a hard winter, you return to your beloved Newport, Rhode Island, just minutes away from where the movie “High Society” was filmed. A classic Riva Tritone, evoking the air and elegance of the American Princess, is waiting for you at The Marina at Brown & Howard Wharf.
An ultimate symbol of glamor, this classic vessel is available to you to charter with a captain, for a picnic in Jamestown’s Mackerel Cove or for a jaunt through the Sakonnet River.
Contact the dock office for more information and to schedule your ride!
As always, feel free to contact us with any questions or to make your reservation.
Wishing you fair winds and following seas!
Sincerely,
Charlie Moore, Marina Manager
